In this post I’ll show you all the features of the Cricut Joy Xtra machine and some fun project ideas.

Spoiler alert … my favorite feature is the print then cut functionality! Joy Xtra can perfectly cut out images you print on your home printer. How cool is that?

It creates professional-looking full-color stickers, labels, tags, t-shirts, signs, cards, and so much more. The possibilities are endless! I’ll show you.

I unboxed my Joy Xtra and set it up in under 10 minutes. I love the sleek white color of this machine – It’ll look great in my office.

Print Then Cut – My favorite Cricut Joy Xtra product feature

The Joy Xtra precisely cuts around images printed by your inkjet printer to create stickers and more!

My daughter Vivi has been begging me to make her some smiley face, flower, and peace sign stickers for awhile now, and that’s just what I did.

To start, I grabbed my color inkjet printer and Printable Waterproof Sticker Set (I went with the white option).

Next, I went into Cricut Design Space (check out Cricut Acces s) to search for some sticker images. There were so many options to choose from!

I placed a handful of cute images onto my canvas.

Once I was happy with the options, I flattened all the stickers and followed the prompts to print the designs onto my sticker paper.

I was so happy with the print quality and color vibrancy!

Once all sheets were printed, I added the waterproof sheets over the sticker sheets and smoothed with my burnishing too l to ensure there were no bubbles.

Then my Joy Xtra did all the cutting for me – and the alignment was perfect! So impressive.

I was so excited to have made my very first batch of stickers!

Vivi chose a couple favorites to add to her water bottle. She plans to use the rest on her notebooks and will also give some to her friends.

So cool, huh?!

I decided to make a couple t-shirts for Vivi and her friend Linden to wear to their upcoming Taylor Swift movie.

Before I got to work I gathered my two t-shirt blank s, Smart Iron-On, and Infusible Ink.

I headed to Design Space to lay out my design.

When the design was ready, I began the cutting and weeding process for all elements.

And finally it was time to adhere the elements to the shirt with my EasyPres s and EasyPress Min i.

I used the handy Cricut Heat Guid e for all the recommended temps and times.

After everything cooled, I peeled the backers and had the cutest t-shirts. The girls loved them so much!

Cricut Joy Xtra is the perfect cutting machine for those looking to jump into making popular projects like multi-colored stickers, t-shirts, cards, gift tags, mugs, and other personalized items. I highly recommend!
