DIY toddler bedroom
Update 2019: You can see Vivi’s updated bedroom and play spaces and also the Houzz feature here.
I’m in the process of updating Vivi’s bedroom with new art. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that Viv started out in a smaller bedroom (with a secret passageway to an attic playroom).
It has two twin sized Murphy beds in it, but they were kind of scary to her, so she had been sleeping in her DIY teepee bed.
Then a couple months ago she decided she wanted to start sleeping in one of our guest rooms in a queen sized bed (dang, our threenager’s growing up quickly), and she’s been there ever since.
Here’s the current state of the guest room. Not bad, but it needs to be toddler-ized quite a bit.
So hopefully over the next month or so I can find the time to get her room up to par. We’ve decided to keep the Murphy bed room and the attic as a playroom. She’s officially taken over the majority of the house (good thing we’re one and done, haha).
Here is a few shots of the updated DIY toddler bedroom space 3 years later.

This free printable would look great in your kid’s playroom, bedroom, or really anywhere.
Heck, it’s also great for fun adults who still love unicorns…that’d be me! 🙂 You could even hang one in your office at work to bring a smile when needed.
Anyone else working on a DIY toddler bedroom, nursery or kiddo room decor?
I’d love to know how you use my printables—please show me via Insta, Twitter, or Facebook photos. And I’m always very grateful when you Pin my work as well.
