Teeth whitening, beyond the basic strips, has been something I’ve always wanted to try!
Like many people, I enjoy coffee and red wine, which has stained my teeth over the years. In the past I’ve used whitening strips, but never really noticed any difference, so I always quit them pretty quickly.
I was so happy to when SmileBrilliant reached out me so I could try their system and share my honest thoughts with you all.
And guess what? They’re giving one of my followers a kit of their own! Amazing, right? Keep scrolling for the giveaway details.
I received my complete Smile Brilliant whitening kit in late June.
I read the easy instructions on how to mix the 2 molding putties to make the dental impressions for my custom trays.
With my hands, I mixed both pastes together until they were completely blended.
Then I pressed the putty into the mold tray and bit down. You do this step twice—once for the bottom teeth, then again for the top teeth. They even give you extra paste in case you mess one up.
The dental impression process took less than 10 minutes, and once they were done I let them cure overnight.
The following day I shipped them back to the Smile Brilliant lab in the postage provided envelope.
Less than a week later I received my custom trays — whoohoo!
I love having trays that fit my teeth perfectly!
Trays work so well because ensure that every angle of every tooth (regardless of whether your teeth are straight or not) receives even and consistent coverage of the professional strength whitening gel.
That day I did my first whitening treatment.
The instructions were super easy to follow, but if I did have any concerns or questions the customer service is excellent.
The kit comes with 4 syringes of the whitening gel and 3 of the desensitizing gel. I can get about 4 whitening sessions out of just one syringe. I love how long this system will last me for any future whitening. Most people only need 7-12 whitening sessions (2-3 syringes) to see their full results.
I lightly applied the whitening gel to the front sides of both trays and applied to my teeth.
Then I did 45 minutes for my first treatment, but you can go up to 3 hours if you have the time. I get a lot of house cleaning completed while I whiten.
Thankfully I didn’t personally experience any sensitivity, but I love that they provide desensitizing gel for those with sensitive teeth, but I did experience some decalcification (white marks on some of my teeth) after each use, but I always woke up the next morning and it was gone. I was so happy about that!
I’ve done 6 teeth whitening sessions, and I’m very happy with the results. Here is a closeup before and after comparison photo for proof.
They are definitely 2-3 shades whiter!
Why Smile Brilliant?
- It works, but if you aren’t happy with your results, they offer a 100% money back guarantee.
- Smile Brilliant is committed to not testing their product on animals. That makes me happy.
- Their custom-fitted whitening trays for 70% less than trays from your dentist, and they work up to 5 times faster. The average U.S. dentist charges $500+ for the exact same service. No thanks!
