Happy Friday, everyone!
Today was a little different than my normal Friday…and I loved it.
My neighbors left town for a bit to help move their daughter to college, so I got to hang out with their oldest daughter, Brittni for a few hours. She is a true gem of a person.
She’s the sweetest girl, who loves babies and dogs so much. She works part-time at a daycare center and regularly makes homemade dog treats for the neighborhood dogs. She is that one person who brings a smile to everyone’s face.
Brittni is also one unique person, who was born with an incredibly rare chromosomal abnormality called Duplication of the Fourth Chromosome. It’s so rare that they didn’t even give it a fancy name. 🙂
Here is a quick photo recap of our time together (as you can see her chromosomal abnormality doesn’t stop her from enjoying every single moment of life).
First, we went to Sonic for our favorite treat – lemon berry slushes.
Next, we took my dogs to swim at the lake beach down the street from our house (they adore her too – look at the way they look at her, haha).
Then, she played with and read to Vivienne.
And finally, we did a cute little craft project – letters covered in vintage buttons from my great grandma.
The project was super easy and only required 3 items:
+ Buttons
+ Hot glue gun
+ Paper mache letters from any craft store
I think the letters turned out cute as a button, and they’d look nice hanging just about anywhere.
I want to make a monotone colored buttoned “K” for our front door once we repaint it.
Both projects are on my mile-long to-do list.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! 🙂

It was great, thanks for stopping by Rachel! 🙂
Looks like a super fun day. I want a friend to DIY with!
