A s’mores kit is always a big hit when we see one at a gathering – I decided to make my own using items we mostly already had on hand!
We were planning a glamping trip and wanted to make a kit to take with us.
I’ll show you just how quick and easy they are to make!
First, I grabbed the supplies:
Rocks
Metal platter of some kind (mine was thrifted)
Chafing dish fuel (clean burning)
Roasting sticks (ours were gifted)
Gold foil duct tape (optional)
Extra supplies if you wish to try method 2:
Plant pot
Foil
Charcoal
To start the s’mores kit, we poured rocks into our metal dish.
As you can see, I chose to wrap the outside of the fuel dishes with gold foil duct tape to cover the label and add a pretty touch. this part is completely optional – I like to be a little extra. 🙂
Then we smoothed and scattered the rocks until the dish was full.
Then I took a long lighter and lit the wicks – seriously so easy, right??
Vivi and I couldn’t wait to test out or new s’mores kit!
When the time came for our glamping trip, we easily transported the kit to our location. It was a big hit!
An even easier s’more kit idea is using a flower pot, charcoal, and tin foil.
Simply line the pot with foil and add a handful of charcoal pieces to it. Light the charcoal, and once it is hot and ready, you can roast marshmallows above it.
If you prefer to use the clean burning chafing gel dishes, you can also simply add one to another flower pot or dish of any kind. Easy as that!
You can even take your s’mores makings and wrap them in cellophane wrap and tie with ribbon or string.
We made these to share with our neighbors on a summer night, and it was handy to have everything put together. These also make cute gifts along with a flower pot kit.
Can you believe how easy these kits are to make? I definitely recommend!
