I’m back with another quick DIY project from my $100 DIY office update!
I scored this fun, retro chair at a thrift store for $7, and was pretty excited about it.
It’s funny – about 15 years ago I would have thought this chair was hideous and belonged in my grandma’s house, but I have turned into such a retro/vintage/post modern furniture lover over the years, and now really like this chair – much to my husband’s dismay, ha.
I didn’t absolutely hate the green on green, but I just knew that the chair legs needed to be gold. 🙂
I unscrewed the legs from the chair, taped on a trash bag to protect the cushion, grabbed my trusty metallic gold spray paint, and got to work.
The sidewalk was begging to be painted gold – oops!! |
15 minutes later I had a fun vintage gold-legged office chair.
What kind of thrift store chair updates have you done? I wanna see the after photos! 🙂
xoxo
