DIY // TEEPEE TURNED TODDLER BED

Happy Monday, everyone!

We had a busy weekend building the new deck, and I took some free family photos for almost everyone in my neighborhood (five families), but I squeezed in time to turn Vivi’s DIY teepee into her first toddler bed.

Here’s a quick instagram photo I snapped…

 

I placed an extra crib mattress in the teepee and surrounded it with her favorite books,  stuffed animals, pillows, etc. My friend Rachel made the blanket for her when she was born, and she loves it.

I hung white holiday lights in the top to give her a fun reading light. We used it for the first time tonight as we read her bedtime books to her, and she absolutely loved it. Makes me so happy!

She turns two in a few weeks, and I’m in no hurry to completely move her into a toddler bed, but I have two beds set up in her room so she can familiarize herself with it, and possibly take a few naps in it. 🙂

I am so excited that she has her own space to escape to and use her imagination even more.
Better photos of the teepee bed will follow in the future as Vivi uses it even more.
