So, you might have picked up on my love of gold spray paint by now, yes? I love it all…brushed, metallic, hammered. It’s all good.
Well I have recently discovered something else that makes me strangely happy…antlers. Yep.
A couple of months ago I randomly decided that I wanted some antlers to do something to at some point (yes our basement is full of the most random stuff – hoarders style). I hunted down a set from a friend, and they have just sat unattended to ever since.
A couple of weeks ago I had the desire to spray paint them brushed gold…because why not?
After the paint dried I was too exhausted to find them a styled home on a shelf, so I sat them on our kitchen table until I was ready to arrange them. Well, I kinda just fell in love with them right where they were.
They put off an artistic, sculptural feel for me, and I just really enjoy them.
What do you think?
I’m curious…am I crazy or do you sorta see the beauty that I see in these bad boys? 🙂
The antlers look beautiful. Just bough some real ones to try to do something like yours. I notice these posts are as old as two years… No reply to any of them as to the paint… Would you share the process you used and the paint, etc.? It would make your blog 100% better… thanks a lot!
